Iceland South Coast Tour

Iceland South Coast Day Trip from Reykjavik

The Land of Fire and Ice

The Finer Details
Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pick-up, after which you'll be whisked away to Seljalandsfoss waterfall. This mesmerizing natural wonder begs visitors to come in close and stroll behind its cascading veil of mist. You will then continue to the Skógafoss waterfall, where the roar of thunderous water will ring in your ears for days after your visit.

As you head eastward, the charming town of Vík beckons visitors with a visit to the Icelandic Lava Show. Here, you'll experience the meeting of fire and ice firsthand as re-melted lava flows just meters away. You will delve into the history of the 1918 Katla Eruption and the resilient tales of the local inhabitants who survived the event.

On the return trip to Reykjavík, you will pause for a bit at Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, known for its dramatic basalt columns and the crashing symphony of waves. Your final stop of the day is the ever-changing Sólheimajökull glacier, where an easy stroll down the glacier valley offers breathtaking vistas of the glacier's icy expanse. You'll return to Reykjavík just in time for a late dinner, during which you will have a moment of pause reflect upon the impressive and contrasting landscapes of the day.
