Bruges Food Tour

Eat your way through Bruges with a local expert

The Finer Details
Bruges is known equally for its medieval beauty as it is for its delectable chocolates and refreshing beers. This 3-hour food tour in Bruges, guided by a local expert, will allow you to indulge in the city's unique flavors while leaving room for a side of atmospheric charm.

On this 3-hour gustatory adventure, you will have the chance to wander the streets of Bruges in excellent company and discover some of Belgium's most famous treats  – beer, waffles, and, of course, Belgian chocolate – while also immersing yourself in lesser-known gastronomic traditions. Come prepared with a hearty appetite, as Belgian cuisine is renowned for its generous portions and rich indulgence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this tour be adapted for dietary restrictions?
It is possible to adapt tastings for vegetarians, non-alcohol-drinkers as well as gluten/lactose intolerances. It is likely possible to adapt for vegans, but this means the whole tour would need to be adapted, as the venues would need to be adapted for vegan attendees.

Does this tour replace a meal?
While appetites do vary, we would be rather surprised if you felt the need to go straight for a meal after this tour.

Is this tour appropriate for children?

Absolutely! The standard tastings for this tour are very child-friendly (unless your child dislikes french fries), and can be adapted as necessary. We think food tours are a great way to get kids excited about visiting a city.

Bruges, as with most European cities, is still working on making the city completely wheelchair friendly. There are narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets on this tour, however there are no major inclines and stairs can be avoided.

We had a lovely tour with Jonathan. He was very informative and interesting. He was great.

The tour was great! Jonathan chose great options to allow us to experience unique Belgian foods. He is very knowledgeable and provided lots of historical facts that allowed us to not only learn about the food/beer we tried but also learn about the history of Bruges. Bruges is amazing to walk around and I felt like took us to great places we wouldn’t have found on our own.

Great tour! Natalie is very knowledgeable about Bruges, Belgium and just about anything else we asked. She took us to a variety of food and beer locations and knew the history of everything we tasted. Our family, ages 20-56, would highly recommend her as a personal tour guide! Very enjoyable.
