I am an accomplished amateur Platonist who had done some serious research prior to my trip. Anthi's practical and scholarly professional grasp of the ground we covered, however, allowed me to see the ground and the history of the Academy in ways that simply would not have been possible for me on my own research. She easily moved past her own usual script when my knowledge allowed her to move in to more expansive coverage. Her professional archeological knowledge combined perfectly with her passion for the subject to make it a warm collegial few hours sharing our mutual love for Plato and his Socrates.
